SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida
The SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida with Nusa Penida Diving is a focused 3-day, 4-dive technical program designed to take you beyond no-stop limits with structured, supervised training. You’ll complete dives to a total depth of 40m with a maximum decompression time of 15 minutes, building the planning discipline and in-water control needed for safe, confident decompression procedures.
What’s Included In The SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida?
The SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida is the bridge between advanced recreational diving and true technical capability. You’ll learn how to configure and manage stage equipment, perform controlled gas switches, and execute decompression schedules with precision. The emphasis is calm, repeatable procedures, so you leave with a system you can trust rather than a one-time experience.
Theory
In the SSI e-learning for your SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida, we cover the following chapters: Physiology and the Diver, Decompression Diving Equipment, Decompression Theory, and Conducting the Decompression Dives. These sessions focus on the “why” behind staging, gas planning, exposure management, and the step-by-step structure of safe decompression execution.
Confined Water
During your SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida, you’ll complete confined water training to build clean technique before open water execution. Skills include equipment assembly and stage tank setup, S-Drill, stage removal and replacement underwater, decompression gas switch, and a gas-sharing ascent with a gas switch. The goal is to make these procedures automatic, controlled, and smooth.
Open Water Dives
You’ll complete four open water training dives progressing from simulation to increasingly independent execution during your SSI Deco Course in Nusa Penida.
Dive 1 is a simulated decompression dive, including stage removal and replacement at the surface, S-drill, stage removal and replacement underwater, gas-sharing ascent with gas switch, and a simulated decompression run.
Dive 2 is your first true decompression dive with a maximum 15-minute deco limit, alongside an S-drill, running the decompression plan, and underwater DSMB deployment.
Dive 3 repeats the same activity as Dive 2, and reinforces the structure to improve precision, control, and task loading under real conditions.
Dive 4 is the performance dive: you’ll plan and execute the entire decompression dive under close instructor supervision, demonstrating readiness to apply the full system confidently and safely.
